about

A FREE 26-track instrumental project from the Late Bloomers, produced by members Really Nathan and Ahh:Zel. Nonstop does feature and there is some vocals but this release stays mainly beats. You can also get a physical copy free when you purchase their EP, Three Shades Brown, from UGHH via the link below:

Late Bloomers formed in 2009 while Ahh:Zel was sitting in law class distracted by the filipina girl who sat next to him and a rhyme he was working on instead of taking notes. Fed up with the lack of halfway decent emcees and open minded collaborators, he sent a text to Nonstop saying nothing but "Ahh:zel & Nonstop are Late Bloomers". Nonstop (confused) was down, and now all they needed was a dj. Enter ReallyNathan, who was added once Lord Quas told him to quit rapping, and partnered with Ahh:Zel to craft the soundbed of the burgeoning bloomers).  With a newfound direction and reinvigorated spirit, the three would go from disgruntled amateurs to self described polished supergroup. With a playful sense of humor and "doitourway" attitude, Late Bloomers crafted three eps worth of chill, feel good, future thinking cali-soul raps and dropped them on an unsuspecting public. Fast forward a year and Late Bloomers have earned themselves a healthy dose of blog love, worldwide (but mostly Canadian) fanbase, and the occasional opening slot for the likes of Exile, Chino XL, One Be Lo, 2mex, Strong Arm Steady, and even Tone Loc. Armed with a new even more "future-blapped.feelgood.neosoulrappish,sunshine.california.sarcastic.strange" sound, the crew teamed up with Tres Records to release their latest ep "Three Shades Brown" which was released 1/18/11.
